Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Navigate to Job Creation

1. From the main dashboard, click "Create First Job" or navigate to Jobs section

2. Click the "+ New Job" button (web: top right, mobile: floating action button)

      

3. The "Add New Job" form will open

Step 2: Enter Job Details

Complete the basic job information:

1. Job Title: Enter a unique and descriptive project name (e.g., "ABC Apartments", "Sunshine Shopping Centre")

2. Client: Select from your configured clients using the dropdown menu

3. The system automatically assigns a Job Number in sequential order

💡 Pro Tip: Use clear, descriptive job titles that both your team and the client will easily recognise 

⚠️ Watch Out: You can only select clients that have been previously added to your Directory

Step 3: Select Client Representatives

Choose who can approve daywork sheets for this project:

1. In the "Select Client Reps" section, view all representatives for the chosen client

2. Select the appropriate Client Rep(s) who have authority to approve work on this project

3. Multiple representatives can be selected for flexibility

Step 4: Configure User Access

  • Access Control: Only selected users can view and work on this project

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Problem: Client not appearing in dropdown list 
Cause: Client hasn't been added to Directory or browser cache issues 
Solution: Add the Client from within the drop down, or navigate to Directory > Clients to add the client first. If client exists, refresh the page and try again.

Problem: Can't select Client Representatives 
Cause: No Client Reps have been added for the selected client 
Solution: Go to Directory > Clients, select your client, and add Client Rep contact details before creating the job.

Problem: User not available for selection 
Cause: User may not have been invited have have been set to inactive status 
Solution: Check Settings > Team & Access to verify the user has been invited with Read Only or higher permissions.

Problem: Job creation fails or times out 
Cause: Network connectivity issues or required fields incomplete 
Solution: Ensure all required fields are completed and you have stable internet connection. Try refreshing and recreating if the issue persists.

Problem: Can't see newly created job 
Cause: Browser cache or user access restrictions 
Solution: Refresh the Jobs page. If still not visible, check that you have appropriate permissions for the project.
