### **Quick Summary**

The Client Inbox is where your Client Reps receive, review and sign the daywork sheets you send them. This article walks through what your client sees, from logging in to signing a sheet and downloading their records, so you can guide them if they have questions.

### **What You'll Learn**

- How your client logs in to the Client Inbox
- What your client sees in their sheets list
- How your client agrees to or disagrees with a sheet
- Where your client finds signed sheets and downloads them
- How your client exports or downloads sheets
- Which settings your client can change

### **Before You Start**

**You'll Need**:

- Your client is set up as a Client Rep in your **Directory**, with their email address
- You've sent them a daywork sheet for signature

🎯 **Key Point:** Every Client Rep is set to **Hidden** by default, including new Client Reps you add. Change a Client Rep to **Shown** only if you want them to see sheet values.

### **What Your Client Sees**

#### **1. Logging In**

Your client logs in with their email address and a one-time code. They don't need a password.

1. They enter their email address on the **Welcome to the Client Inbox** screen and click **Login**
2. They check their email for **Your Dayworkbook login code**
3. They enter the 6-digit code and click **Verify**

If the code doesn't arrive, they can click **Resend Code**. If they entered the wrong email address, they can click **Change email**. The code expires after 10 minutes.

#### **2. The Sheets List**

After logging in, your client sees their **Sheets** page. A badge at the top shows how many sheets are awaiting their signature.

**Summary boxes:** Four boxes at the top give your client an overview of their sheets:

- **Total No. Sheets:** all sheets, across Pending Sheets and Sheets History
- **Total Est. Value:** the estimated value of all sheets
- **No. Awaiting Review:** sheets waiting for your client's signature
- **Est. Value Awaiting Review:** the estimated value of sheets waiting for their signature

When your client applies a filter, the boxes update to match the filtered sheets.

**Two tabs:**

- **Pending Sheets:** sheets waiting for your client to review and sign
- **Sheets History:** past sheets, such as Approved sheets

**Each sheet shows:** Sheet Number, Work Description, Job, Subcontractor, Client Ref., Created By, Date of Work and Status. Your client can search sheets, use **Filters**, and click a column heading to sort.

**Default order:** The most recent sheets show first in both tabs.

**Est. Value column:** The **Est. Value** column is always shown. If you've turned on **Expose Rates to Client**, it shows the estimated value of each sheet, both while your client reviews it and afterwards. If you haven't, it shows **Not shared** in grey italic. Hovering over it shows a tooltip explaining that the subcontractor hasn't shared their schedule of rates.

#### **3. Reviewing and Signing a Sheet**

When your client clicks a sheet, **Sheet Details** opens. They see the full daywork sheet with your branding, including the Description of Works, Labour, Plant & Equipment, Materials, Rate Items and who prepared it.

At the bottom, they're asked **Do you agree this record of work is correct?**

**To agree, your client:**

1. Selects **Agree**
2. Adds their signature under **Add Your Signature**, using **My signature** or **Draw**
3. Adds any **Notes** (optional)
4. Clicks **Submit Confirmation**

**To disagree, your client:**

1. Selects **Disagree**
2. Explains what needs to change in **Corrections** (required)
3. Clicks **Reject with Comments**

💡 **Pro Tip:** Encourage your client to be specific when they disagree, for example "Trade Assistant hours should be 7.0, not 8.0". Clear corrections help you update the sheet quickly.

#### **4. Exporting and Downloading Sheets**

**One sheet:** Your client can open a sheet from **Sheets History** and click **Download** to save a copy of the signed sheet.

**Several sheets at once:** Your client can select one or more sheets in the list, then open the **Actions** menu and choose:

- **Export Sheets (CSV):** a CSV file listing the selected sheets
- **Download Sheets:** copies of the selected sheets

#### **5. Your Client's Settings**

Your client can click the settings (gear) icon to open **My Account**. Here they can:

- **View their profile information:** Name, Email, Phone and Company
- **Save a digital signature:** Turn on **Digital Signature** to pre-fill their signature when approving sheets, and click **Change** to update it
- **Manage email notifications:** Turn **Assigned sheet emails** and **Approved sheet emails** on or off

💡 **Pro Tip:** If your client says they aren't getting emails when you send them a sheet, ask them to check that **Assigned sheet emails** is turned on in their settings.
